My father, Allen Timms was born in Abbeville, South Carolina. He was a star athlete all throughout his grade school years and then made the decision to enlist in the Army in 1983. He was stationed at Fort Bliss (which was located in Texas) he served for 6 years but never was deployed out of country. He was diagnosed with ALS on October 7th 2022 and passed away 6 months and 1 day later on April 8th 2023. 
He was so brave, if ALS were a battle that could be won, he would have conquered it. 
I will always do everything to support the ALS association in the search for a cure for ALS.
