Every year, skiers on Team ALS go to the American Birkebeiner (the premier cross-country ski race in North America) in honor of John Jaeckel, who is living with ALS, and all other Wisconsin residents battling the disease.
There is no cost for skiers to participate, we request that Team ALS members raise at least $1000 toward the cause.
On Saturday, May 6, 2023, The ALS Association will bring together more than 300 guests to celebrate our 36th year of service in Wisconsin at our Annual Hope Derby Gala.
A ticket to this derby-day event includes cocktails, an open appetizer buffet, a silent auction, fund-a-need live bid, games and race bidding with music and dancing to follow the 149th running of the Kentucky Derby.
Our mission is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
Join for our 2023 Walk to Defeat ALS in Appleton, WI.
We are all united on Walk Day and truly humbled by your generosity. The strength of ALS support shines through on Walk Day as it did this year when we all rallied in support of our Wisconsin families affected by ALS to raise funds to advance research, care, and advocacy for our ALS community. Wherever you are and whatever your connection, we are all one on Walk Day.
