The Therapy Program provides grants for the any of the following supportive therapies: Speech, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Counseling Services.
- Recommendations for therapy will be given from professionals at the ALS multidisciplinary clinic.
- Each therapy grant issued covers up to three sessions.
- Grants can be provided for the person living with ALS, their children, and ALS caregivers.
- Each round of grants must be used in 6-month timeframe.
The following individuals do not qualify for the therapy program grant: Veterans with ALS (and their family members), ALS Patients on Hospice (and their family members), Patients, caregivers, and family members with insurance benefits/coverage, Patients diagnosed with FTD – they should be followed by clinic neuropsychiatry.
