My Mom is 66. She is currently fighting ALS. She is my best friend, I’m blessed to be her caretaker & it’s an honor to be able to take care of my Mom. I’m struggling wondering how I’m going to cope when she is no longer with me. This disease is so heartbreaking. She fights every day just to eat, drink, speak - things we all do effortlessly - it’s so sad - I see her struggle sometimes she even aspirates on her own saliva. What torture. I pray for all the fighters out there and all their loved ones that have to experience such a tough disease. I pray and hope one day they find a cure to such a terrible disease for any human to have to go though. ????
