Durable Medical Equipment Loan Program

Caregivers and people with ALS can access durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, power lifts, and aids to assist with daily activities. This program eases the burden of finding and affording essential equipment.

To request equipment loans, contact your ALS Association care services coordinator. Refer to the state map for your coordinator’s contact information.

If you are interested in donating equipment, please click here to learn more about the medical equipment we do and do not accept.

Please fill out this form if you'd like to donate equipment we accept!
Donation Questions? Contact Margaret Mullins, Director, Loan Closet Program at margaret.mullins@als.org or 202-464-8053.

For equipment not accepted, the Free Foundation has centers in Virginia Beach, Lynchburg, Williamsburg, Winchester, Roanoke, Harrisonburg, and Richmond. Click here to learn more. There are other organizations such as All Blessings Flow in Charlottesville, Embrace Foundation, Newport News, and the Endependence Foundation of Northern Virginia located in Arlington.
