L. Patrick Reedy, CFRE

Patrick Reedy became the Chief Development Officer of The ALS Association in July 2023. He leads all development activities in support of The Association’s goal to make ALS a livable disease, while also working to cure it.  

Patrick served as Chief Development Officer for Shatterproof, a national nonprofit dedicated to reversing our nation’s addiction crisis, from 2021 to 2023. 

Patrick also served as Region Lead (Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky) and Executive Director (Illinois) for the Alzheimer’s Association from 2018 to 2020.  He served in a variety of local, regional, and national roles for JDRF from 2008 to 2018, culminating as National Vice President, Leadership Giving from 2015 to 2018. Patrick has also held various fundraising positions over the course of his career at highly respected academic medical centers, including Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital and NorthShore University HealthSystem. 

His responsibilities have included major gifts, annual gifts, corporate gifts, board and volunteer management, and campaign management. Throughout his career Patrick and the teams he has led have raised more than $360 million for the nonprofit organizations he has served. 

Patrick attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and double majored in Finance and Business Administration, and he is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
