Nicole Eck became the Chief Strategy Officer of The ALS Association in February of 2024. She joined the organization as a Director in Field Relations in 2012 and has been leading the Operations team for the past 4 years. She has over 20 years of experience in neurodegenerative not-for-profit health.
Her key areas of expertise are strategy development, operationalizing plans, structural alignment and developing process to manage risk. An outcomes-based leader and change agent, Nicole strives to build the most effective and efficient operation to meet the Association’s goals of finding new treatments and cures, optimizing treatments and care, and preventing and delaying harms of ALS.
Nicole has a Bachelor of Counseling Psychology and uses her strong analytic and interpersonal skills to foster collaborations and break down silos. Beginning her career in the for-profit sector, she transitioned to her passion in non-profit work in 2004 as a Director of Field Relations and Development for the Alzheimer's Association.
