Annette Bowman has more than three decades of experience in nonprofit leadership as the Executive Director of Alabama 811 and has volunteered with the ALS Association's Alabama Chapter since 2017.

Annette has guided Alabama 811 — a nonprofit one-call center corporation protecting underground infrastructure — through several branding iterations over the course of her career, legislative changes, and operational improvements. As executive director, she was responsible for stakeholder engagement, communication, public education, and advocacy.

Annette initially began volunteering with the ALS Association after her father, Bruce Radford, was diagnosed with Progressive Bulbar Palsy in March 2008 and passed away in January of 2009. She has served on the ALS Association Alabama Chapter Board since 2017 and joined the Association’s National Board of Trustees in 2023.

Annette received her bachelor's degree in communications from Auburn University and received both a Certificate of Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership and Management and certificate as a Working Genius consultant.

Annette currently resides in Jasper, Alabama, where she continues to advocate in her community for the ALS Association, animal rescue organizations, local community involvement and underground damage prevention safety.
