Lisa's Ride to Defeat ALS

Lisa and Deb

In October 2021, Deb Grover's best friend, Lisa, was diagnosed with ALS. As an avid cyclist, Lisa had just completed a 100-mile ride from Massachusetts to Maine the month prior. In response to her diagnosis, Deb rallied their gym, The Movement Workshop, to create a team for the 2022 Massachusetts Ride to Defeat ALS®. In June, the team hosted a fundraiser at a local brewery, featuring an amazing band, food, wine, and endless support for Lisa. With over $8,500 raised to date, it is easy to see that Lisa is loved and supported by so many in her cycling community.

Despite her diagnosis, Lisa has not let ALS stop her. She will soon be riding the 100-mile route on an electric bike alongside her friends, family, and team. To them and our entire ALS community, Lisa is the epitome of resilience. The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter is honored to have The Movement Workshop riding in the 2022 Massachusetts Ride to Defeat ALS®.
