Caregivers and people with ALS can access durable medical equipment and assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, scooters, power lifts, and aids to assist with daily activities. This program eases the burden of finding and affording essential equipment. In order to be good stewards of the financial resources and gifts, services are not intended to duplicate those provided by health insurance, Medicaid, and hospice programs.
