The ALS Association joins the ALS community in mourning the loss of the legendary Hollywood publicist, Nanci Ryder. Nanci was diagnosed with ALS in 2014 and worked tirelessly through her journey spreading awareness of the disease and raising necessary funds for patient care and research. 

Over the years her participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS®, as TeamNanci, brought together a powerhouse team of friends including Renée Zellwegger, Courtney Cox, and Reese Witherspoon to lead the fight against ALS, helping to bring a spotlight to people living with ALS and raising more than $820,000 to help support the search for a cure.
