Our Dad enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1942 and served in the South Pacific during WWII. After medical discharge in 1945 he finished college at Loyola of New Orleans where he was the Little Colonel and was commissioned in the Army in 1951. He served in Korea and Republic of Viet Nam. After attending the opening of the WWII Memorial in 2004 Dad was seen by doctors. In February of 2005 he was diagnosed with ALS. Almost immediately he lost his speech and the ability to eat by mouth. On New Years Eve 2005 our Father passed. He fought this awful disease and lost. He fought bravely. He was our hero.
