I am proud to have served my country in the first Gulf War & if asked to
do so again knowing ALS would be the result, I would. That said, my ALS
not only affects me but my whole family. I have a wonderful wife & two
beautiful children who have never known their father without ALS. I
testified before Congress in 1996 about the effect of ALS. As a result,
a committee was formed to address the need for service connection for
Gulf War Veterans with ALS. I am a proud American and Marine & strongly
support all efforts to learn what causes ALS to be more common in those
who serve in our military.
