Ray was life itself, always smiling. He brought sunshine into every room he entered. You felt good when he was around. He joined the air force, had jet fuel in his face, breathed fumes, he loaded nuclear weapons on planes and pulled them off. He touched numerous chemicals. He raised kids, grand kids and foster kids. He adopted animals, served his neighborhood and was the other half of me. At age 55 he slurred his words, 3 months later he was unable to eat or swallow. They diagnosed ALS. He got a feeding tube, help breathing and 11 months later he died in my arms. Please protect our military.
