My dad, John Pittman served in the Army and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany in the late 50's. He was diagnosed with ALS in March of 2006 and passed away on Nov. 8, 2009. He was buried in the Veterans Cemetery on Veterans Day, Nov 12, 2009.
