My father went through ROTC to help pay for college. After graduating from Pitt, he had to serve 2 years in Korea. He went on to work for GE (where he worked on developing technology for nuclear submarines) and then IBM (where he was the lead on their development of flat panel technology-which you're probably using right now). In 2013, after a few months of symptoms, he was diagnosed with ALS and died the day before Thanksgiving). It was incredibly painful, watching the smartest man I ever knew, die, unable to move or talk. They need to tell me why this may be related to his service.
