David, my dad, enlisted in the Navy in 1957 and proudly served his country aboard the USS Helena until 1961. He loved sports, hunting, fishing and cooking but above all he loved his family. He was a very hard worker and good provider. My dad went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2003 after being diognosed with ALS in 1996. Even in the end when my dad was bed ridden he never gave up and had a sharp mind. He is a true hero and inspiration. As a family we couldn't of asked for a better Grandfather, Father and Husband. We now celebrate how he lived. He will always be in our hearts. We love and miss you.
