about this event

The annual Massachusetts Ride to Defeat ALS is an opportunity for friends, family, and the local community to join together to support those people affected by ALS in Massachusetts. Funds raised at this event help to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest. We offer multiple routes and ride lengths to participants of all abilities. Enjoy lunch, a beer garden and music at our post-Ride celebration!

2023 ride routes

We are excited to bring you new ride routes this year - details are coming soon!

Fundraising

Ride is so important because it raises the essential funds needed to fulfill our mission. This year, we have a goal of $400,000! We have a lot of work to do to get there, but I am confident we can! Fundraising will be the same as it has been in year's past. You will still have your own fundraising page that can be linked to Facebook. You will also be able to recruit teammates to join your cause.

Fundraising Incentives

Each individual who raises $500 will receive the signature Ride to Defeat ALS jersey!
*NEW THIS YEAR * individuals who raise $2,500+ will receive cycling shorts!

Registration Fee

Each participant will pay a registration fee to secure their place in the Massachusetts Ride to Defeat ALS. This registration fee helps to pay for the expenses incurred to participate in the event.

All Riders: $75
Riders Under 16: $45 Parents must stay with their children on their selected route.
Use code: CHILD at checkout for the discount.

Fundraising Minimum

All riders 18 and older are required to raise a minimum of $250 in donations, in addition to their registration fee, by the day of the event (September 17, 2023). Fundraising for The ALS Association is a very direct way of supporting our mission, and with each person you ask to support you, you are also spreading important awareness for ALS. Fundraising is easy and fun -- and we are here to help you get started and to surpass this fundraising goal!
