In 1995, the agriculture community throughout North Dakota and western Minnesota came together in support of Larry Sing in his fight against ALS. Since that time, they have been honoring Larry while supporting other individuals and families facing the challenges of ALS through the Larry Sing Memorial ALS Golf Classic.
Join Chuck Smith as he rides 1,200 miles over 7 days and raises funds in honor of Gary Godfrey and those affected by ALS. Chuck will be participating in Ragbri at the end of July. Let's unite and support Chuck, Gary, Carol, and all others on this journey.
The reality of ALS can be difficult to understand. Imagine for a moment; you seem to be shorter of breath than normal – or friends and loved ones point out that your speech is slurred. Maybe you seem to be experiencing weakness in your arms or legs or falling frequently and you are not sure why. After months and months of doctor’s appointments and tests – each increasing in invasiveness and pain – no answers. Maybe you had carpal tunnel surgery – but it did not seem to help, were referred to a psychiatrist – but these things are not in your head.
We’ve always said that at the ALS Evening of Hope, formal attire was optional. This year, more than ever.
This year’s ALS Evening of Hope will feature amazing auction items, stellar entertainment, research and Chapter updates, inspirational videos, and yes, an abundance of hope. The big difference is this year, you get to enjoy it all from the comfort of your own home.
As a member of Team ALS, you won’t just be competing on the Birkie course. We also ask that you help out on the fundraising trail. Because every dollar raised to help fight ALS gets us another step closer to finding a cure.
We request that Team ALS members raise at least $500 toward the cause. Raise $1,000 and you'll earn a Team ALS ski suit.
