John was born and raised in Chicago where he graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with both a BA and MA in Speech Communications.  John came to the Florida Chapter Board in late 2011, following the death of his wife Kathy which was attributed to ALS. Kathy suffered for close to three years, contributing to John’s first-hand experience of the comfort that The ALS Association Florida Chapter provides to people living with ALS and their families.  

Kathy blessed John with their three talented daughters: Allyson, Andrea & Meghan, who along with John’s current wife Sue, support John in his efforts with the Florida Chapter Board.  John is currently the Chairman of the Fund Development Committee for the Chapter.  John and Sue currently reside in Sarasota, FL where John works as the Vice President of Sales Strategies at Boar's Head Brand Company.
