ALS 101 

This series of classroom-style education sessions was designed specifically for people who have been diagnosed less than 6 months and addresses important topics such as: programs and services provided by our chapter, Q & A with a neurologist, adapting to change, insurance and legal planning, and understanding research.  Invitations will be mailed to all newly diagnosed families prior to each class. Four-week classes are offered in March, July, & October. 

ASK THE EXPERTS

Each year, this state-wide conference brings together people with ALS, their caregivers, and experts in the field of ALS for a chance to learn and engage with one another. A keynote presentation and break-out sessions will address topics ranging from the latest information on research & clinical trials to strategies for symptom management in daily living. Invitations will be mailed to all registered families. Our next event is planned for January 2023. Stay tuned for more details!

CAREGIVER SKILLS TRAINING

 Join us for hands-on training sessions to learn the techniques of safe and successful caregiving. This class has been designed specifically for family caregivers caring for a person with ALS and will address important topics including: transfers, personal hygiene, communication, emergency preparedness, and more!
