2022 TARGETing ALS

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. The disease robs people of the ability to walk, talk and even blink an eye. It traps them inside a body they no longer can control and ultimately prevents them from breathing as it takes their life. People with ALS lose the power to use their legs, hold someone close, and say, “I love you,” before their bodies gradually shut down. . From onset to diagnosis, life expectancy is 2 – 5 years. Every moment matters to people living with ALS and their families.

Targeting ALS is the Alabama Chapter’s newest event combining fun and fundraising in one exciting day of clay shooting. This event offers a compelling opportunity to unite in honor of Alabama’s ALS community and generate funds that further our mission to discover treatments and a cure for ALS and serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.

Clay shooting is a sport anyone can get involved in, from the experienced shooter to the novice. Attendees will be part of a four-person team to enjoy a half-day (morning or afternoon) rotating through 15 shooting stations that are sure to deliver an unparalleled experience.
