Alabama State Advocacy Day

Welcome ALS Advocates!

Since 2004 the ALS Alabama Chapter has been fighting ALS on every front – supporting innovative research, enhancing access to clinical care, and promoting better public policies.  We are a part of a nationwide network of 39 chapters that make up the National ALS Association and a single team with a single mission: to discover treatments and a cure for ALS and to empower people with ALS to live their lives to the fullest.

Everything we do at the Association is centered on people living with ALS – the care we support, the policies we advocate for, and the research we advance.  The only way we will realize our vision of a world without ALS is to make sure that all of these pieces are fully integrated and working together.

The ALS Association empowers advocates to talk about issues important to people living with ALS.  Our goal is to educate policymakers and the public and to drive smart decisions related to research, treatment, and access to care that benefit people with ALS and their families.  Our ALS Alabama Chapter has an active group of advocates who work tirelessly towards our mission and do so with integrity, compassion, and urgency.  We ask you to come alongside and join us as part of Team ALS Alabama!

We hope this website has some helpful information and links for you.  If you have additional questions, please email us at advocacy@alsalabama.org or give us a call at 800-664-1242.
