May is ALS Awareness Month, and The ALS Association Alabama Chapter is creating awareness and understanding of this devastating disease by bringing attention to the needs of people across the state who are living with ALS. The Alabama Chapter is launching a new awareness campaign; ‘Every Moment Matters’, sharing local stories from the Stone, Isaacs, Hatcher, Kelley, McMillian, and Webb families of how ALS has robbed their lives and their families of precious moments that we often take for granted.  These moments range from the simplest of things such as a glorious sunrise or a simple walk in the park to momentous occasions such as the birth of a grandchild, or anniversary and birthday celebrations.  It can even rob the family members from hearing the three words, “I love you” from their loved one battling ALS.

The Alabama Chapter is fighting to help all families facing ALS have more of those meaningful moments.  While we are actively making strides to support promising new treatments and a cure; building partnerships across the state to expand access to care and providing care services and assistance to families to help alleviate financial burdens, we need your help to make our efforts go even further!
