Board of Representatives

As a part of The ALS Association’s governance structure, the Board of Representatives was established in 2010. The membership of the board consists of one volunteer and one non-voting staff member from each ALS Association Chapter.

With an active voice in the decision-making process, the Board of Representatives has the responsibility of electing the National Board of Trustees, who serve on the committees with oversight of the functional areas of The Association. The Board of Representatives is the representative forum of the Members, representing the perspectives and concerns of the local and regional chapter-related activities, services and operations.
